Ozone, (O3), sometimes is called "activated oxygen". Ozone contains three atoms of Oxygen rather than the two atoms which we normally breathe.
While ozone is very powerful, it has a very short life-cycle. When contaminants such as odors, bacteria or viruses make contact with ozone, they are destroyed completely by oxidation.
Ozone applications are used for cleaning and purifying. Ozone not only removes odors from the air, it can also remove airborne particles of harmful bacteria, mold and mildew.
